Tooker and Tucker Visitation Records

Hi All,

I am trying to find all of the visitation records on Tuckers and Tookers from England.

The Heralds Visitations
http://www.uk-genealogy.org.uk/visitations/index.html

Medieval source material on the internet: Heralds' Visitations and the College of Arms
http://www.medievalgenealogy.org.uk/sources/visitations.shtml

I have looked through the visitation records at the links above and have combined what I have found with some additional ones that Jeffrey Tooker provided and Tracy Tucker posted at the Tucker Cousins Discussion Group. Thanks Jeffrey and Tracy! I am sure I don't have all of the Tucker and Tooker visitation records! However, I think I have been able to place all of the Tucker and Tooker visitation records I have found (except two), into the four family lines listed below: William Tucker and Josea (Isota) Ashe, Robert Tucker (Tooker) and Joane Palmer, John Tucker and Widow Trecarret, and William Tooker and Joan. The two exceptions are for the Tucker families of William Tucker (wife Mary Thomson) and Richard Tucker (wife Anne Blackmore).

Visitation of London 1633, 1634 and 1635 (page 282) Thomson

I think that William Tucker's parents were John and Alice (Pelham) Tucker, and I think his grandparents may have been John and Jane (Unknown) Tucker. I also think that William and his father John were Clothworkers. It appears they are listed in the Clothworkers Freedom Register. Does anyone know who any of the others on the list are?

Tukkers, Tuckers and Tookers from the Clothworkers Freedom Register 1545-1661:
1559 Simon Tukker [sic] made Free by apprenticeship to William Wilson
1569 John Tucker made Free by apprenticeship to Roger Haymore
1613 William Tucker, son of John, made Free by Patrimony
1632 Christopher Tucker made Free by apprenticeship to Elizabeth Frankish
1635 William Tucker made Free by apprenticeship to James Cable
1638 Robert Tucker made Free by apprenticeship to James Cable
1653 John Tooker made Free by apprenticeship to Francis Cooke

I have posted some additional info on William Tucker (wife Mary Thomson) at the following link.

The following link is to the second Tucker family I can't place and it is located in the files at the Tucker Cousins Discussion Group. You have to join the Tucker Cousins Discussion Group to view and/or post messages there, but I think it is well worth it since it is free and there are over 400 members, many of which are very good researchers.

Does anyone know where William Tucker (wife Mary Thomson) and Richard Tucker (wife Anne Blackmore) fit into the scheme of things?

Does anyone have any additional visitation records where Tuckers and/or Tookers are listed?

Any suggestions, additions, corrections, questions and/or comments are always requested and appreciated!

Thank you,

Tom
