That's wild, that now there is another John Toohey in Ft. Worth!

I found that his name was John Aloysius Toohey, b. 12/5/1878, d. Sept 19, 1949.

In the trunk of my great grandmothers, is an old newspaper article, 1937 Joplin MO, in a 'looking back' sort of article, with a picture from 1901, in which a Miss Marie Toohey (which was then Mrs. A. K. Wright of Los Angeles in 1937)... was an attendant of the Elks Queen at the Elks Festival in Joplin, Mo.

She MUST have been related to John Toohey.

I also found these folks on the SSDI:

ALOYSIUS TOOHEY 13 Jun 1893 Oct 1971 19120 (Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA) (none specified) 164-01-9350 Pennsylvania
JAMES TOOHEY 21 Aug 1887 Nov 1971 15146 (Monroeville, Allegheny, PA) (none specified) 193-05-7692 Pennsylvania

I wonder if THEY were related...

John and Dessie never had any children...
Dessie was my aunt, and John died before I was born, so I never knew him.
