My father moved to St. Louis from Addieville, Illinois. So I have done some research trying to track his family --I came accross several Tonsings or Toensings who came from Addieville or Oakaville Illinois--its an hour drive from there to St. Louis. Do you know your father's fathers' name?? I can trace by father's family back to the Civil War in this country and I know that they came from Wimmer or Osnesbruck Germany. I have lots of names that don't connect from this part of the family.
