I am researching the Tonkin side of my family. They originated from the St Columb Major area of Cornwall UK.
Nicholas Tonkin(born Sept 1825)married Thomasina Osborne (bpt 12/03/1826)of Quoit Cornwall on the 30th October 1847.
The couple then emigrated to Uniondale, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania USA. They had 12 children, 8 girls and 4 boys. 3 of the boys were named Joseph, Henry James and Nelson.
Joseph later went to Wisconsin and married at 17. His wife was 14 yrs old. They had 5 children of which i have no details.
Any information would be appreciated.
