Dear Bryan, I am the editor of the Tonjes Ties which is a family quarterly dealing with all variations of the Tonjes name. I have not run across your spelling before. Do have quite a few Toennies and Tonnies. In the Netherlands the name means Anthony. Would like to hear more about your family and perhaps could tie them into another family.
