Greetings Michael,
Thanks for the reply. Maybe it's not a coincidence. I know that at least John & Ellen Tongue, together with at least some of the children moved from Cheadle, Staffordshire to Killamarsh probably early 1900's. Killamarsh was where Mary Tongue met and married Maurice Batty in 1915 (my grandparents). Who knows we may be able to work out where the connection is - feel free to get in touch. My mother doesn't remember any other unrelated Tongues in Killamarsh (her birth place).
