Hi Roxie,
Don't know how far back you have gotten on John F Tong, but I believe I have found his parents. They were Elijah Woods Tong and Rebecca Downs both b MO. Elijah died 1897-1900 Nevada Co and is buried in the Redland TWP area.
The Carrie who was sister in law to John F was married to his younger brother Elijah D, she was Carrie Jackson in 1899 Nevada Co. John was first married in 1897 to Camilla Jackson, Nevada Co. William was also a brother and he was first married to Willie J Reed in 1880 Miller Co.
Can't figure out how Leonard Tong's father fits in with this family. I would assume the ones that were in Burke TWP would be related.
