This information comes from newspaper articles of the Williamsport, Lycoming County, newspaper. Married on Thursday, by Rev. J. C. Caldwell in Newberry, Mr. Charles Toner and Miss Lizzie Holmes. (Gazette & Bulletin, June 2, 1874) Coroner's Sale: By virtue of a writ of vendition exposes issued of the court of commpn pleas of Lycoming County and to me directed, there will be explosed sale at the court house in the borough of Williamsport on Monday the second day of September next, at ten o'clock of said day a certain piece of land in the west branch of the river Susquehanna, opposite land of William Hepburn, Req., and known by the name of Silver point, containing seven acres, more or less with the appurtanances. Seized, taken in execution, and to be sold as the property of Wm. Toner. A. Tallman, Corener (sp} Aug. 15,1822 Lycoming Gazette: 8/18/1822: p2 {this article appeared for three weeks. this island was originally owned by John Toner} Andrew J. Toner, died Saturday, morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. E. Quigley, Diamond Street, aged eight-eight years. Besides a daughter, a son Theodore Toner of Corningwood,(I think this should be Collingwood) Canada, survives. The funeral will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. The deceased was born at Level Corners, Oct 22, 1819. Mr. Toner was in early life a tailor and in later years an algernine in the employ of the boom company. For twenty-one years he was in the employ of the Dodge mills. Gazatte & Bulletin: July 29, 1907: P. 8 The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Toner occurred yesterday afternoon. Services being held in Newberry M. E. Church at 2:30 o'clock. Toner, plumber of this city, received a telegram informing him of the death of this brother, Fred, by drowning at Harrisburg, yesterday afternoon. Mr. Toner left for Harrisburg on the midnight train. Williamsport Gazette & Bulletin: Oct. 23, 1866; p4 Married on the 24th ult; at the residence of the bride's parents in Porter Township, by Rev. W. S. Stephens, Mr. Joseph Toner and Miss Ida A. Brown. Daily Gazette & Bulletin: March 4, 1881; p4 Married on December 4, 1881 by Rev. S. E. Webster, Mr. Harry M. Allen of Williamsport and Miss Ella M. Toner of Paddy's Run, Pa. (I do not the newspaper or the date on this article) There is also an Article about Attorney M. Edward Toner, who was born Dec. 26,1885 in Williamsport,son of James P. Toner. Does not give Mother's name, just that she "that she was Pennsyvlania Dutch and it also states that his father was "the best plumber in town".
