My ancester John Toner was born in 1845 in Ireland and immigrated in 1868 to America. He married a Sarah Mcvay in 1873. This Sarah McVay was born in england so John may have moved to England first then to America. He settled in Pittsburgh after moving thru Michigan. He was a very large man-6ft 8in, who worked in the PGH steel mills. His brothers scattered -one of whom moved to New England.
