Hi,

I have the following which indicates that John Tompkins and the Wheelers migrated from Concord, MA to Fairfield, CT together with Rev. Jones Sept. 1644:

William Odell is purportedly memorialized as a "Concord Planter" on a plaque in the Fairfield Public Library together with Rev. John Jones, Thomas Bulkley, Thomas Jones, John Tompkins, Daniel Bulkley, Joseph Middlebrook, Ephraim Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, Jr., James Bennett, Richard Lettiss, John Ebats, Peter Johnson, George Squire, and Benjamin Turney. Ridge, Bateman Connection, 173:

From Concord, 1644; William Bateman, James Beers, James Bennett, Daniel Bulkley, Thomas Bulkley, J. Burr, John Burr, John Cable, William Hall Sr. & Jr., George Hill, Peter Johnson, Rev. John Jones, Thomas Jones, Richard Lattin, Joseph Middlesbrook, William Odell, George Squires, John Thompkins, Benjamin Turney, Ephraim Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler Jr. (Source: Fairfield Biography - Pioneers & Patriots of Pequannock 1639-1799 by William Roberts)

Do you happen to know the ship Thomas Jr. and Ephraim Wheeler came over from England on in 1637?

Not sure what the connection between Thomas Tomkins and John Tompkins (my 12th G-Grandfather is) but looks like the will info you found may hold some good clues. Do you have the full will of Thomas Wheeler transcribed?

This is great, thanks,
Scott Tompkins
