John Edward Tomlin 1849-1894 married Florence Michael 1856-1937 in Calcutta

I have a glass plate photo taken approx 1859 showing John Edward with his sister Maria, His mother Isabel nee Maudlin and his father. One the back of this photo he is named as John Edward. I think the label was put on by Mary Gregory (sister of John Simon and Paul daughter of Marie nee Tomlin and AS Gregory) in the 60's.
I was told it was taken before they left for Calcutta but don't know if this is true.
It also says that they lived at "The Tannery" Shorne Kent.
