Thank you for the response. I am sure that
my grandmother is part of this family also.
I pulled a genealogy chart from the Giles Co.
website for the descendants of Freeman Tomerlin. Is this the ancestry chart you are referring to?
I have just begun to research my father's side of the family and I have not yet had time to go to the library. There is very
little information on the Limestone Co. website. If you have additional or different
information from the above chart I would like to get the information from you. I do have
a correction to my earlier query. It was my
gg-grandmother that was married to a Read and
Sims. Tennessee Gertrude Tomerlin Moore was
married a second time to a Tribble and had
one daughter named Irene. Tennessee Gertrude
had at least one sister named Ellen, married
to Sam Holmes. I don't have the date of
birth for either of them. My grandfather was
born in 1888 so I would think her date of
birth would have been about the same time.
She and Claude Finley Moore were married
Dec 26, 1909 in Ripley, Limestone Co. AL.
I know there is no 1890 census so I will have
to rely on only the 1900 census to tell me
who her parents were. I have not yet looked. That is all I know at this time. Any help is appreciated.
