Barbara,

I noted the listing of the children of William Tom Sr. and Nancy Brown Tom. I was reviewing my FTM cd#514 on the Early Pioneers and Settlers of Washington County (Texas), page 226 has:
" There was a double wedding in the home of William Tom, whom on May 8, 1840, Margaret Tom was married to John H. Smith, and Nancy B. Tom married John Estes."

I am assuming that these are daughters of William Tom Sr. and Nancy Brown Tom. I have a daughter Nancy for William Tom Jr and Keziah Hines Tom but she would be too young to be married in 1840. Is this correct?

I am interested in the Tom family through the Coe's of Gonzales Co, TX. Philip Hattox Coe and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Ann Parker, had 2 daughters who married into the Tom family. Jane "Jenny" Coe married Houston Tom and Harriet Coe married George W. Tom, both sons of William Tom Jr. and Keziah Hines.
William Tom Jr. had served in Philip H. Coe's Company in the Texas in 1835 fighting Indians before the Texas Revolution.
