Velma,
My Jesse Toliver was born between 1790-1800 in North Carolina. His wifes name was Hannah. They were in Limestone Co., AL in 1820 with six children. By 1830 they were in Morgan Co., AL. Jesse Toliver died by 1840 and his son Elijah and his son Alfred were living in Lawrence Co., AL. Jesse's widow Hannah was living with Elijah.
In 1850 Hannah Toliver was listed as HH in Lawrence Co. AL. Living next to her son Elijah.
I descend from Alfred Toliver who stayed in Lawrence Co until the 1860's when he moved to Coryell Co., TX by 1870 and moved to bell Co., TX by 1880 where he remained the rest of his life.
What I would like to know is who were Jesse's ancestors and how has it been documented.
