Family history has always had the name of my ancestor as Chat TOLLEY, but apparently the name Chat is a nickname for Samuel S. TOLLEY, who was born in Kentucky between 1847 and 1849, one even has 1854 as his birth date. Samuel TOLLEY first appears in the 1850 Census in the household of his father, Green B. TOLLEY, but the name was spelled TALLY.

Green B. TOLLEY married Catherine PRICE in 1847 in Hopkins County, KY.

One record has the name of the father of Green TOLLEY as Gary TOLLEY, but this is unconfirmed.

Does this connect with anyone's family line or do any of these names sound familiar?

I've also ran across the Green Tolley School District in KY & was wondering if this is connected to my ancestor in any way.
