I see where someone wrote that Elizabeth Vineyard Tollett married a John McIntosh. It was the daughter Elizabeth that married John McIntosh.
Elizabeth Vineyard?Tollett would have been to old to start having children in the mid to late 1700's.
She was b ca 1725.Her children by Mark Tollett.

I do have copies of this info.

Cornelius Brown sold the 80 a on Back Creek which adj. John and James Brown,to Henry Brown of Montgomery Co,Ohio. In 1818 Cornelius and wife Jane(Rowland) sold all their remaning land to John hoge and el with provision they made a deed to Micheal Brown(buried in Tazwell)
In all this convayance James Brown is named as defendent along with the heirs of Robert Brown dec'd.(James and Micheal brothers of Robert)
Catherin Brown, widow and relict of Robert Brown Abram Brown,Silas White and Elizabeth nee Brown,John Barger and Peggy nee brown,William Rice and sarah nee Brown,Joel Maxfield (It is Maxwell)Mary nee Brown,John Brown,Ann Brown,
Robert Brown.
This tells of Cornelius leaving bledsoe Co,Tn for Red River in Ark in 1818 and his trip to Hampstead Ark.

Now,the thing that really made me know that my 4-ggrandmother Catherine was a TOLLETT was that her Dau Mary Brown married my 4 greatgrandfather Joel Maxwell and their first sons name was William Tollett Maxwell.

William Tollett Maxwell
m Mary Horton August1,1830 Elbert Co,Ga
His middle gave me a clue to look for persons with that last name.

Would someone write and tell me what you think abt the conclusion I came up with concerning my Catherine.

I need some validation.

Malinda-
