Tolcke Family Genealogy Forum

Tammy, I just found your reply to my rather old message. I think I also just replied to a message you had put on a Hamburg list. Do you have any other dates for these people? They don't seem to add up with mine but it's hard to believe there isn't some connection with the names being the same and from Hamburg. My g grandfather was Wilhelm Fredereck Bernhrd Tolcke, born, I believe, in 1861. In German Tolcke is spelled Tölcke and when you don't use the umlaut in Germany, in becomes Toelcke. When my grandfather came to the states in 1927 he used the Tolcke spelling - his name was August Christian Wilhem - he went by William here in the states. He was born 6/30/1886 and immigrated to Philadelphia. He had a sister names Elizabeth and other sisters names Stacia, Martha & Emma. He is the only one of them to come to the states. I don't know of any uncles or aunts he may have had. It would be so nice if there were some connection here. I have not been able to find out any more about this family.
