Charlotte,I saw your post concerning Jonathan P. Todd m. Barbry Bass.I am from this line also, and have much information.I have tried to contact you previously with no success. My cousin, Steve, and I found the marriage certificate of Cornelius Partin Todd and Barbry Bass in the Clay County Courthouse in Fort Gaines, GA in 1992. They lived near the original Todd Homestead between Bluffton and Edison Georgia at the headwaters of Spring Creek. The Todd Cemetary is located on that property to this day. C.P.(as he was called) and Barbry had two sons, Albert Porter Todd and Thomas Todd. Albert is my great-grandfather. Cornelius was in the 34th Alabama Infantry and died in 1864 in the Confederate Army Hospital in Madison Georgia. He is buried in the Madison GA City Cemetary. Apparently, he was wounded in one of the battles between Chattanooga and Atlanta, and was sent to the hospital in Madison where he died on July 1,1864. Sometime after he left to go to war, Barbry took Albert and Thomas and moved to Dothan, Alabama. She later married Young Folsom.Albert became a prominent farmer in Houston County, Alabama.Thomas and Albert married sisters.Contact me and I will give you other information as you desire.
