Be careful with Family Trees

Just be alert:
I just found a John Priestley Todd born in Laurens, SC in 1774 before his father John was born in Ireland in 1792. This type of error proliferates the web. Someone has just picked up the wrong John for a father. He combines two wives. There were two, but the one he listed is not the wife of John born in 1792.

There was a Priestley as a middle name in Patrick's daughter's Tennessee family.

Another researcher lists parents for Patrick Todd, John's father, born in Ireland in 1768 as being much younger than Patrick. Please do not just look for a given name, click and say I am finished.

Just be aware.
