In my family info. I have Samuel McMurtrey b. 1744 d.1796
He was the Father of William McMurtrey b. 1768.
Samuel married Jane Marten.
Alexander McMurtrey b. 1709 d.1759, was the Father of Samuel. Alexander married Sarah Todd, this is probably the connection you need.
My GGgrandfather, Littleberry Toney, married Nancy McMurtrey. She was the Daughter of William McMurtrey and Sarah McCord.
