I don't know to much about my family history as I am the youngest of four children of Joseph H. and Margaret G. Tobey. I was named Joseph after my father My siblings Dolores, Margaret (Peggy) and Barbara Ann have all pasted. My father was born in 1896 and was the eldest of three children his father had with his second wife Sarah. My father's siblings were Marie (1898) and John (1905). Marie never married and John and his wife Anna nver had children. I am not sure of my grandfather's first name it might have been Francis. As far as I know he had three children with his first wife. As far I can remember their names were; Francis, Bernard and Catherine. Francis (Frank) and Bernard moved to New Jersey in the early 1900's and raised families there. Catherine (Rene) and here husband Ted Small, never had children. I have three daughters, Beth, Dana and Ryann.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone knows about my grandfather and his family history. I remember being told as a young boy the the family was from Germany. For some reason I thought my grandfather was about 8 years old when his family came to the States. Prior to my oldest sister passing she told me that my grandfather was born in the US and that it was my greatgrandfather who came from Gemany when he was a young boy.
