I am trying to find the parentage of Isaac Tobey/Tobin (1750-c1836). He was born in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey, and went by Tobey when living in New Jersey. He moved to Virginia after the Revolutionary War and started using the name Tobin. He later moved to Guernsey Co., Ohio. I am also interested in any information concerning Nathaniel Tobey/Tobin who was probably born in the 1740s and died probably in 1831 or 1832 in Virginia. It is my working hypothesis that these two were brothers. Nathaniel was still living in New Jersey when he is first listed as a Tobin in 1790.
