Wiley, I looked through the census and found one John Dill born in TN that's of approx. the right age for child #3 on this one, 1842 instead of 1844, but you know how census ages are...Anyway, I tracked him through and here is what I found:
1870 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN
Dill, John 28
Reeves, Morris 17 (black laborer)
1880 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN
Dill, John 39
1900 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN
Dill, John 60 (Mar. 1840)
Ellen 60 (Sept. 1840)
John 21 (Sept. 1879)
Jennie 17 (June 1882)
Noah 2 (Apr. 1897)
This is the only one I could find, except one that pops up out of nowhere on the 1880 and 1900 in Montgomery Co., TN. That one is the same age, but is married to a Parthenia, with a son Robert. Since Rutherford Co. is closer to Wilson Co. than Montgomery Co. is, I thought I'd run with that. There are none in IL at all.
