Seeking information on the origins of Thomas Scott, ca. 1730-1792 who had the following children, b. ca. 1755 and later: Richard who was in Wilson Co., TN by 1804; William; Nathan; Jemima; Samuel; Thomas; and John. This family may have settled originally in Rowan Co., NC and as the county lines changed ended up in Wilkes or Burke Co., NC.

A James Scott, b. ca. 1730 and Lidia Martin were m. 26 Nov. 1759 Rowan Co., NC; Lidia d. 1815 Wilson Co., TN. Were James and Thomas Scott brothers? James and Lidia Scott had one known son, James, b. 1789 Rutherford Co., TN, d. 1852 Macon, IL.
