Benjamin:

This may be a long shot, but would you have a George MD Murphy, b. 1847 TN in your line? He is my great great grandfather and I haven't been able to locate him, his parents or siblings living in TN during the 1850 & 1860 census.

I don't have any information on his father other than he was born in VA, his mother/grandmother was possibly Sarah, b. 1808 TN.

I located George, his wife Susan and their children living in AR during the 1870, 1880, 1900 and 1910 census. Their children were all born in AR between 1867-1879:
Robert Lee
Sarah E
James Edward, my great grandfather
John D
Thomas J
William
Charles G

Other Murphy family members were:
George Henderson, b. 1902 AR my grandpa
Effie C, b. 1898 AR, my grand aunt
George W, b. 1867 AR
Alvis, b. 1906 AR

I am stuck until I find the name of the elder George's father. Do any of these names connect with your Murphy line? Thank you for your time.

Cheryle
