Is this the Leander Murphy whose father was Barney Murphy and mother was America Givens?
It looks like this Leander was born either in 1870 or 1869 in Wilson county. I don't know anything about the Murphy line except that I N B (Barney) married my gggrandfather's daughter (Merritt Givens). I would like to find out more about Barney and his two sons listed in the 1880 census, Leander aged 10, and Thaniel (which could even be Daniel) aged 5.

Merrit and his wife are buried in Charlton Ford Cemetery close to Walter Hill, both dying in 1886, and were living with Barney & wife at that time. I just found out from the census today that another daughter of Merrit, Elizabeth Givens Fuller lived lived with Barney and America in 1900.

Anticipating your reply.
