Robert M. Cambell was born June 1, 1782 in Leesburg, Loudon Co, VA. He married Matilda Jane Stuart, daughter of James and Margaret Stuart on November 3, 1809 in Wilson Co, TN. Robert and Matilda migrated to Logan Co, KY ca 1849.Robert died January 8, 1866 and is buried in Bledsoe Cem in Logan Co beside his wife. Matilda was born March
24, 1792 in NC and died July 10, 1870. I have a copy of both estates.
They had children: Margaret (1811-1814),Fletcher (1813-1890) married Elizabeth Gray, Anne Rebecca (1814-1876) married Alfred F. Page, James Andrew (1815-1849) married Rebecca E. McNeal, Robert M, Jr (1817-ca 1898)married Mary McNeal, Nancy D. (1819-1878) married Josiah J. Hunt, George Washington (1821-1827), Thomas Jefferson (1823-1845) married Agnes Susan Hunt, William Henry (1826-1847) married Ruth Gilliam, Newton Peyton (1829-1892) married Malinda Angeline Grable, Matilda Jane (1832-1915)married Thomas Grigsby Cornelius.
