I am researching an 1800s desk signed in pencil by Samuel G. Patton. I found a reference to him about his mother Nancy Caroline Godfrey Patton, the third wife of Green Berry Adams, who was suing for divorce in 1871 and at the time was living with her son Samuel G. Patton. I am hoping this was the person who signed my desk and hoping for further information or contacts to help in my research. Thanks.
