Father: Henry D. Kemp - October 15, 1818 Smith Co., TN /
There are two different death dates for Henry;
Either November 25, 1851 or September 12, 1857
- one of the accounts is "allegedly lost at sea off coast of Columbia, SC.

Mother: Mary A. (Polly) Bass / born about 1820 in Wilson Co., TN

Their children were:
Lucretia Kemp - about 1846 in Macon Co., TN
Jinks Cy Kemp - about 1847 in Macon Co., TN
Julia Frances Kemp - about 1848 in Macon Co., TN
Harvey L. Kemp - about 1850 in Macon Co., TN

Parents of Henry D. KEMP

John (Kinks) D. Kemp - born about 1792 in Wake Co., NC/ died August 27, 1840 Smith Co., TN

Lucretia Hickerson - born 1794 in NC / died April 1844 in Smith Co., TN
