I went to the National Archives last week and they pulled the actual bound volume of the 1850 census for Wilson County. I have digital scans of the entries that do in fact show Charled Edmonds on one line, and John Edwards on the next line and then with ditto marks for Anderson and Pheby. I put them up on AncestryTree. . . . .

So, the Anderson Edmonds in Jefferson County in the 1860 with wife and four kids is not the Anderson Edwards in Wilson on the 1850. I wonder if he's the Charles A Edwards to went to Idaho, married Josephine Purcell, had four kids and died in Montana.
