What I have on the marriage of Thomas Hearne and Rachel Drewery is from the N.C. Archives. Their name was listed right under my Wilie Harris and Elizabeth Hearne in the application for marriages from Montgomery Co., N.C. in l788.
I don't know the Drewery line. Thomas H. Harris and Mary Elizabeth Hearne married June l8,1816 in Wilson County, Tn. Thomas Harris was born Oct. 31, l796 in NC. and died in 1868 in Brighton, Delphi, Ill. Rachel was born Feb. 23, 1797 and died 1870 in Delphi, Jersey Co., Ill. Thomas's sister, Nancy, who married Allen Fuller also moved to Illinois, Jersey Co.
I had the above information in a notebook but have to go through my Harris files to find the N.C. Archives posting and certification on the marriage of Rachel and Thomas.I know the Hearne History, page 468, gives the marriage of Rachel and Thomas as being in Virginia but that's not what the marriage (signed petition to marry) says. It also gives a list of all their children. I know there are errors in this book but was so happy to at least explore the leads.
I hope this information helps you. My Father is still in the hospital and my husband in a skilled nursing facility so time is limited.
Good luck. Feel free to e-mail me.
