Ellen/Ellan Thomas, Thomas Family early 1800's

I'm looking for the parents, siblings and all the children of Ellen/Ellan Thomas who married William Dunlap in Williamson County in 1806. I'm pretty sure she's a descendant of Jesse Thomas and Mary Howell from Cumberland Co., VA some of whose children were in Williamson County from its founding, but of which of several sons who went to Williamson County is she the child? I presume it's one of the older sons since she was born about 1785/6. My best guess is that she was a daughter of John Thomas and Elinor Barton who were married 6 March, 1786 in Davidson County. John was the oldest son of Jesse. Ellan/Ellen Thomas' father would have been living near Samuel Dunlap since William Dunlap b. ca. 1781/2 was a son of Samuel Dunlap. William and Ellen/Ellan (Thomas) Dunlap then went to Montgomery County, and later joined his father in Humphreys County just before his father died, or just after 1840. Then at least one of William's sons (there were at least six children, I only have the names of two of them)went to Haywood County, where other relatives from either family may have previously settled. There was a Phineas Thomas, there, for instance, who may have been a brother of Ellen/Ellan Thomas, since he's close in age to her. The only two children for which I have names are a middle child (not the first son, apparently) William Anderson David Dunlap (named for his father and paternal uncles) b. 1813 and Martha. I don't know where exactly William and Ellen/Ellan (Thomas) Dunlap died, but it was probably Humphreys County and apparently both died before 1850--probably before 1845. Only one of her four grandparents was still alive for my ancestress, Nancy Ellen Dunlap, the 2nd daughter of William A.D. Dunlap to remember well and describe to her children and grandchildren. Most people have memories that go back to about age 4, but the memories for age 3, 4, and 5 are usually few. The beginning of substantial groups of memories occurs somewhere between ages 7 and 9. As Nancy Ellen Dunlap was born in 1836, I believe her Dunlap grandparents William and Ellen/Ellan (Thomas) Dunlap probably died early in the 1840's, rather than closer to 1850.

The only other Dunlap name I have handed down from Nancy is the name Jesse, but whether it was used for an uncle or aunt, I don't know. My grandmother said her mother Nancy's youngest daughter, told her about a Jesse/Jessie Dunlap and that she liked the name and used it for her daughter. Since that isn't really a Dunlap name but a Thomas name, I thought that name and Ellen were the only clues I had to find something that connected with both. So the semi-educated guess at this point is John and Elinor (Barton) Thomas and his parents: Jesse and Mary (Howell) Thomas. Any help identifying Ellen/Ellan Thomas' parents and siblings--and the rest of her children, is greatly appreciated.
