I notice that Historical Southern Families Vol. XII, Barnett and Related Families, p. 169 gives marriage records of Williamson County, Tennessee. On page 207 of the marriagew records is the marriage of William M. Patton and Ann Walker on January 29, 1820. Bondsman was Tristram Patton and the witness was Jno. P. McCutchan.

Then Geo. W. Barnett married Eliza Patton July 6, 1820. Bondsman was Wm. H. Hamilton and the Witness was Jno. P. McCutchan.

Could this Jno. P. McCutchan be related to your Rachel? Also, since both of these marriages concern a party named Patton, is that a family name related to the McCutchans?

My interest lies in the Barnett family and any information you might have which explain his relationship to these parties will be appreciated.
