Joann,I have the children names of William Garner that came from court record in 1811settlting of his estate. no wife was listed children John Garner,James and Ann Patterson,Richard Garner William Garner,Hanna and Jane Garner all listed as heirs. My John Garner married Sally Cochran in Williamson Co TN June 20 1807. The Cochrans have John as the son of William Garner of Williamson Co no proof.my family history was run proable been 40 years ago they had my John Garner the son of James Giles Garner SC brother to Sturdy that died in AL. but my gg grand father was written up in Goodspeed he said his father was b in Tn and Dr Sam said James Giles son John went to AL. I have come to believe him to be right.I believe William Garner may be the son of Parish Garner son of Thomas Garner son John Garner and Susanna Keene He had a son William Garner b in 1748.I have nothing on Wikes Co NC, but know Parish lived in Orange Co. I have seen another Sturdy listed in NC. Do you have Jay Garners web site? Verlee
