My great great grandfather, Samuel Orten/Orton was supposed to have property "near Nashville" but that's the closest I can come to a location. I suspect his land may have been on a county line and it caused a problem trying to locate his property. Samuel Orten supposedly died in 1824 or so and his widow and several children remained. The Ortens frequently traveled with Bryans and possibly Cartwrights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is one of my brick walls.
