Rick: I just saw your posting of May 20, 2003. In searching for my husband's family I have an Ann Bell Marshall, daughter of Martha Kennedy & Gilbert Marshall. Ann married Rev A F Lawrence. She was born near Franklin, Tn on Dec 16, 1844 and died Mar. 6, 1902. They had one child, Mrs. Ellen Wilson. I believe this Rev. A F Lawrence is my husband's G.Grandfather, who was a Methodist minister and the only name we have for him is A F Lawrence from a death certificate for his son Magnus Lawrence by another marriage ( he was married 3 times). The obituary for Magnus also mentions a surviving sister named Mrs. B P Wilson. Therefore, we assume all of these tie together - we hope. Still searching. Ann Bell Marshall had been a Presbyterian and converted to the Methodist religion. Hope this helps and would appreciate anything you might have that would help our search.
