John Hiram WILLIAMS married 28-Mar-1823 in Williamson Co., TN to Mahala SINGLETARY. No info know of either ones parents or siblings. Six of their nine children were born in Williamson Co., TN before they migrated to Yazoo Co., MS about 1832. Then they moved to DeSoto Parish, LA abt. 1846/47.

John H. & his wife, Mahala, migrated to Titus Co., TX, abt. 1849, after the marriage of their son, John Samuel to Mary Aldine FLETCHER, 27-Dec-1849 in DeSoto Parish, LA.

John H. WILLIAMS is shown on the 1850 TX Slave Schedule. He died in 1853 and his widow re-married.

Need info on parents and siblings of John Hiram WILLIAMS & Mahala SINGLETARY.

Bill SWEARINGEN - Bellville, TX
