I READ YEARS AGO THAT THERE HAD BEEN THREE FIRES AT THE SULLIVAN CO. COURTHOUSE. WHAT I TELL YOU NEXT SOUNDS CRAZY, BUT KEEP READING. THE CHATTANOOGA HAMILTON CO. BICENTENNIAL LIBRARY HAS A MICROFILM COLLECTION, MOSTLY CENSUSES DONATED BY THE DAR. ONE ROLL IS THE WPA WRITERS' PROJECT, "SULLIVAN COUNTY RECORDS." IT WAS LOADED WITH INFO ABOUT PEOPLES' TAXES, EARLY SETTLERS, ETC. A LOT OF IT WAS DATED FROM THE 1790'S. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'RE CLOSE ENOUGH FOR A TRIP TO CHATTANOOGA, OR IF THE LIBRARY COULD ASSIST YOU IN GETTING A COPY. BTW, I CAN STILL CONNECT YOU TO THE WEAVER WEBSITE. PAUL GILL, FOURTH GREAT-GRANDSON OF FREDERICK WEAVER.
