RAY FAMILY HELP - BRICK WALL
Posted by: Barbara Daniels (ID *****0362) Date: September 30, 2006 at 15:27:33
  of 812

I have reached a brick wall in my Ray family. Joseph Marion Ray was living there in 1813 and then moved to AL. His father was John Ray,b. 1739 at Charleston, SC and d. 1813 at McMinnville, Warren Co. He was married to Catherine Manning.
Joseph was in Capt. Tait's M Infantry in War of 1814, along with his brother, Thomas Ray. They were at Horseshoe Bend.
Joseph also had two known uncles, Thomas Ray and Benjamin Ray.
One of his brothers had the following sons: John Ray, George Thomas Ray, Hiram Ray, Joseph William Ray. Joseph's brother Thomas did not have any sons.
Joseph was born 1 Mar 1770 for an age reference.
Any help greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
