Herman Hodges Herman Hodges BARBERTON Herman Hodg es, 83, passed away Oct. 23, 2003, after an 18-year battle with Parkinson's. Born Dec. 24, 1919, in Van Buren County, Tenn., he was a resident of Barberton since 1952, retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 35 years service in the M & C Department, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific, and was a member of Barberton Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by parents, Simon and Lizzie Hodges; brothers, Roy, Raymond, Charles, and Thurmon; and son-in-law, Mike Kenna. Surviving are wife of 56 years, Joene; daughter, Herma Ann Kenna of Portage Lakes; sis ters, Audrey Yates and Alene (Clyde) Measles, both of Spen cer, Tenn.; brothers-in-law, John (Patti Sue) McCormack, Lee Roy Horton of Barberton, Carl Paugh of Akron; sisters-in-law, Emogene Hodges of McMinnville, Tenn., Hassie (Tom) Grissom of Akron, Sara Cummings of Florida, Ava Dean (B. Dean) Grant of Arizona; spe cial friend, Sam Akers of West Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Notify Administrator about this message?
