I also have Philips ancestors in Van Buren. My paternal great grandfather was Alexander Philips. He can be found in the 1850 Van Buren Census in the household of John Philips from NC. There are several children in John's home. I don't know if John was Alexander's father or grandfather. I'm looking for more info on this family. Thanks in advance.
