An Obion County, Tenn., woman who devoted at least two decades of her life to helping children with special needs died Wednesday along with her daughter after her van left U.S. 51 in Atoka.
Another passenger was critically injured, Atoka Police Chief Jessie Poole said Thursday.
Donna Jones, 58, of Hornbeak was driving a Ford Aerostar north about 1:30 p.m. when the van left the highway and struck an embankment just north of Main Street, Poole said.
