Searching for my Great-Grandfather. He is listed on my Grand-Mothers (Gladys Lucille Frizzell)death certificate as Obie Frizzell. Obies wifes name is listed as Elizabeth Lane.

Gladys Lucille Frizzell was born 02/11/1911 in Eastman, Tennessee. She married Charles Foster Johnson (probably of Sequatchie county, Tennessee) and lived in Cumberland Kentucky until his death in 1941. They had two sons Charles "Buck" and Bobby Ray (my father). She later married James Court Hogue and resided in Chattanooga, Tennessee for many years before moving to Dunlap, Tennessee.

It is possible that Obie was a nickname.
