According to the Scott County Cemetery book, here are the directions: Turn off Hwy. 27 onto Pleasant Grove Road. Travel approx. 3.3 miles. Turn right onto Alderville Road, travel about .3 of a mile. There is a gate with a sign saying Davis Cemetery on the right; cemetery is in the field. An easier way to tell you how to find it is just travel on Pleasant Grove Road to the Pleasant Grove Church; after the Church, you will take the first paved road on the right--the sign saying Alderville Road is gone.
Then travel about 3/10 of a mile and look for the gate. The sign is small, hanging on the top left of the gate, and there is not much room to park. The cemetary is over in the field. I have not been there yet, myself, I'm waiting for snakes and ticks to go away, but I have family there, too.

I also checked the book for a Nancy Chitwood buried there, and there is one listed. DOB Sept. 26, 1815, DOD July 13, 1887, w/o J.H. I hope this is the person you are looking for. If I can help you with anything else, please let me know. I am about 5 minutes from the Oneida Library and they have a lot of county history, census and so on there.
You could also contact the Scott Co. Historical Society at 423-663-3887. They are open from 9-12 M-F.

Donna
