Peter W Moore was raised in Rutherford County and when his parents died in 1844 he wasn't appointed a guardian as evident from a court case he filed in 1848 against the estate of Peter R Vaughan. He is represented by best friend Beverly W Henry indicating Peter was a minor at the time.

William Moore deceased Rutherford Co Clerk Records Book 13 page 43 Dec term 1844. Beverly W Henry is appointed executor. Evidently William M Moore and Mildred (strange note listed as Mildred Vaughn) died at the same time as they are listed together in two different books and with the same administrator (Beverly Henry). I could not locate a settlement for their estates.
In 5 Jan 1848 court case Peter W Moore by his next friend Beverly W Henry versus Ben Claton, Administrator of William H Smith; they are petitioning to release John D Vaughan (Mildred L Vaughan's brother) from a bond in this case.

County Clerks Records Book 13 page 42 Dec term 1844 Mildred L Vaughn deceased Beverly W Henry appointed administrator. Evidently William M Moore and Mildred died at the same time as they are listed in two different locations together and with the same administrator. I could not locate a settlement for their estates.
