Seeking data on the BLACKMAN family - the siblings John, Bennett, and Ann - who arrived in Davidson County, TN in the 1790s from Sampson County, NC (considerable information is available pertaining to their ancestors). JOHN BLACKMAN was married to Nancy M. HAYS (second wife was Elizabeth Herring); BENNETT BLACKMAN was married to Susanna HAYS, Nancy’s sister (Bennett’s second wife was Ann CLINTON); ANN BLACKMAN was married to Charles HAYS, the brother of the two sisters. Additionally, a brother JAMES BLACKMAN and his wife Elizabeth Ann OATES migrated from Sampson County to Rutherford County, TN in 1808 and settled at what was later to be known as the BLACKMAN COMMUNITY. Bennett and Susanna Hays Blackman were my g-g-g-g-grandparents. I wish to expand the knowledge I possess on any and all four of these Blackman lines.
