I have been working on my Pearson family in Rutherford/Bedford counties for about 4 years now. I believe I have a break through regarding the parents of my ggg grandfather, Richmond/Richard Pearson.

It is believe his parents were John B Pearson and Margaret Rawlings. They married in Charlotte County, VA in 1806. They also lived in Halifax County and moved to Rutherford County, TN about 1819. I have found John on the 1820 and 1830 census in Rutherford County.

1830 shows

I suspect the children of John and Margaret to be: (There may be more)

Joseph b. 1812 md. Mary Minerva Newman 8-11-1845 Rutherford County

Leonilla b. 1814 md Joseph Allison Rawlings about 1835

2 males unknown b. between 1815-1820

Richard b. 1821 md Amanda Jane Brown 1863 Cannon County (My ggg

David b. 1825 - unknown if married

William b. 1826 md Serenia Todd 2-24-1848 Rutherford County

If anyone can add anything to prove or disprove my theory, I would greatly appreciate it.
