John Phillips & Lackey Cranford 1837-1880

My GGF, Charles (or Charlie) Phillips was born in TN in Dec. 1860. According to death certif. of his brother, John Marion (b. 4/22/1863) his bro. was born in Rutherford Co. & I assume Chas. was also. Father is listed in certif. as John Phillips, born in TN and mothers maiden name was Lackey Cranford, also born in TN. 1860 Rutherford Co. census shows a J.L. Phillips, age 22 with wife L.E. Phillips, age 19 in ValleY Twnship. Adjacent family was W.J. Phillips, 56 with wife Mary children Nancy, Josiah, Sarah, W.J., Wilson, Francis, Mary and Robert ranging from 24 to 4 in age. I beleive this J.L. Phillips is likely my GGGF. Can anyone help me with info about this family. I have been unable to find them in later censuses. Thnx
