From my census notes on Lucretia Jarrett Spann & family:

Lucretia's birthdate is calculated by her age in the 1870 Rutherford Co Tn and is likely incorrect.

85-86 Thomas Haynes (census says he & wife married in June of 1870) & Family with Charlotte Jarrett, 24, boarding with them along with William, 10, Martha, 9 and Wash 7, who are all at school. These are the widow and children of Lafayette J. Jarrett, who died at Camp Douglass, IL in 1865.

Next door: Their aunt, Lucretia Jarrett Spann
87-88 Span, Creasia 55 Farmer P/E value $200 B. TN
                                                 (wrong, VA)
John 20 Farm Laborer
Mary 17 At Home
Susan 15 "
Nancy 13 "

89- Haynes, Christopher 20, and wife, Matilda, 16.

102-103 Matthew Marable, 39, Farmer R/E $2,000 P/E $1,000 TN
Permelia Marable, 76 Keeps House VA
Sarah B. 48 VA
The Marables were in Mecklenburg Co VA with the Jarretts.

Lucretia did marry Richard H. Spann March 27 1843 in Rutherford Co TN. The Jarretts lived right on the county line in Williamson Co TN.
I don't know why Richard isn't listed with her in 1870 unless dead. I have driven Spanntown Rd out in the county and went through an almost lost Spann cemetery looking for Jarretts. An original Spann log cabin from 1808 is on this road.I have some records that may help you if you will let me know what I need to look for. I don't know what happened to Lucretia's Richard but she was definitely his wife. This Jarrett family came to Williamson Co TN ca 1836 from Lunenburg Co VA.
