Not related, just did some lookups for you It would appear from the following records that a Benjamin Hancock might have been Connected to a SARAH Hancock (mother???) (see item 3, under “Abstracts of Records Books” section below). Also, in Rutherford Co. TN, there was a FRANCIS Hancock who is connected to this Sarah Hancock, and a granddaughter of Sarah’s named Caroline Hancock Scales. Francis Hancock was born in VA. See below. Benjamin may also be connected to a ROBERT Hancock who was in Rutherford Co. from at least 1807 thru 1812 1820 Census of Rutherford Co. TN, only 2 Hancock households Hancock, Benjamin Males: 2 under age 10, 1 age 26 to 45 Females: 2 under age 10, 1 age 26 to 45 No Slaves Hancock, Francis Males: 1 under age 10, 1 age 26 to 45 Females: 1 age 10 to 16, 1 age 16 to 26, 1 over age 45 (looks like a mother, over age 45, was living with him) Slaves: He owned 15 Slaves ----------------------------------------------------------- From the book, “Rutherford Co.
